We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team and deliver exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for food preparation and presentation. This role involves overseeing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained at all times. The Chef will play a vital role in menu development, training, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for both staff and guests.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards Oversee food safety procedures, hygiene standards, and cleanliness within the kitchen environment Manage inventory, order supplies, and control stock levels to minimise waste Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to guest preferences Train new staff members on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and service standards Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to maintain high-quality standards Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times

Experience

Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively Extensive knowledge of food production, cooking techniques, and presentation skills Strong background in food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards Experience in menu development and managing food costs Familiarity with restaurant operations, serving procedures, and customer service excellence Previous kitchen experience combined with leadership qualities is essential for success in this role

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: 12.21-20.00 per hour
