Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes, with a focus on biryani, curries, starters, and sides
Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety in accordance with UK regulations
Manage kitchen prep, stock rotation, and ingredient sourcing
Collaborate on menu development and seasonal specials
Deliver prompt service during peak hours
Ideal Candidate
Proven experience as an Indian chef, preferably in a takeaway or fast-service environment
Expertise in biryani preparation and spice blending
Strong understanding of batch cooking and efficient kitchen workflows
Food hygiene certification (Level 2 or higher preferred)
Ability to work independently and within a small team
Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality
