We are seeking a talented and passionate Indian Chef, experienced in Indian cuisine. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cooking and food preparation, with experience in restaurant environments. As an Indian Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and providing an exceptional dining experience.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes according to established recipes and menus
Oversee meal preparation and ensure high-quality food presentation
Assist with managing kitchen operations, including inventory control and ordering supplies
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods
Monitor food safety practices and ensure all food is stored correctly
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food safety
Skills
Proven experience in cooking Indian dishes within a restaurant setting
Strong culinary skills with a passion for creating innovative dishes
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
