Duties
Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service.
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
Oversee all aspects of food safety and hygiene compliance within the kitchen.
Manage inventory, order supplies, and control stock levels to minimise waste.
Develop new menus and innovate existing dishes to enhance customer satisfaction.
Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a positive team environment.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with health regulations.
Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to uphold brand standards.
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting.
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production and preparation.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
Proficiency in cooking techniques across various cuisines.
Solid understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
Previous restaurant experience demonstrating capacity for high-volume food service.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to oversee daily kitchen operations efficiently.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and hygiene practices.
