Duties

Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient food production and preparation. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative environment. Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality standards, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food preparation, and safety protocols. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively. Extensive knowledge of food production techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene. A passion for culinary arts with a creative flair for menu development. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and guests. Previous experience in high-pressure environments is advantageous.
