Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations Manage food production processes, including portion control and presentation standards Oversee food safety protocols, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen Coordinate with front-of-house team to ensure timely serving of dishes and optimise customer satisfaction Assist in menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and inventory management Train new staff members on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and ensure compliance with health regulations

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and culinary techniques Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently Leadership qualities coupled with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service Previous experience in food production, restaurant operations, or hospitality environments is highly desirable Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
