Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced and passionate Indian Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of food safety and kitchen operations. As the Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation and production, ensuring that our restaurant maintains the highest standards of quality and service.

Duties



Lead and manage the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences. Oversee food preparation and production processes to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to food safety standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing training, guidance, and support to enhance their skills and performance. Maintain inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction. Monitor food costs and waste management practices to optimise profitability without compromising quality.

Requirements



Proven experience as a South Indian Chef or in a similar role within the South Indian restaurant or hospitality industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and production processes. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. A creative mindset with a passion for developing new dishes and enhancing existing menus. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen staff and front-of-house teams. Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
