Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Indian food production and preparation, with a flair for creativity and a commitment to excellence in hospitality. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and leading a team of kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Duties

Supervise and manage kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation and high-quality food production. Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to the restaurant's menu and standards. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings. Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation skills. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained in good working order. Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration and creativity.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant industry. Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation and cooking techniques. Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with staff and management. A passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding customer service. Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are desirable but not essential.
