About the team

About the role




As an Internal Business Development Manager at Octopus, you'll play a critical role in driving our success. Your mission will be to inspire and educate financial advisers, empowering them to address their clients' needs through dynamic telephone-based selling.


In partnership with our External BDM, you'll craft and execute a regional business plan to achieve ambitious targets. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Fostering and nurturing existing adviser relationships, ensuring they continue to thrive Identifying new commercial business opportunities through expert questioning and insight Serving as the go-to person for all adviser enquiries, identifying the commercial opportunity for them and Octopus alongside delivering exceptional customer service Generating and managing leads to increase business inflow Owning the regional events and marketing strategy which may include presenting at events and hosting webinars Arranging adviser meetings for your External BDMs as well as attending and hosting them, where relevant Providing valuable feedback to the wider business, ensuring the needs of advisers and their clients are met Delivering impactful presentations to IFAs Attending and representing Octopus at industry conferences and seminars Continually refining internal systems to enhance regional efficiency

Qualifications



Experience and Skills you will need:


? Sales: Previous experience within a sales team, ideally through phone interactions


? Delivery: Competitive spirit with a strong drive to exceed targets


? Quality: Effective decision-making skills ensure consistently high-quality service in all interactions with clients and colleagues


? Integrity: Empathy towards colleagues and clients and leading by example through treating others with respect


? Relationship: Demonstrable experience in building meaningful and lasting relationships
