Internal Quality Assurer (iqa) & Training Administrator

Job Description

We are a quality-focused training provider offering regulated qualifications in First Aid, Paediatric First Aid, and Basic Life Support. We are seeking a dedicated and organised Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) who will also support administrative functions related to training delivery, learner records, and compliance with Qualsafe Awards.

Role Purpose



This hybrid role combines

internal quality assurance

duties with

training administration

. The postholder will ensure assessment quality and compliance across our qualifications while also managing course-related administration, ensuring a smooth learner journey and regulatory alignment.

Key Responsibilities



Internal Quality Assurance



Conduct regular

internal verification sampling

across First Aid, Paediatric First Aid, and BLS qualifications. Review and evaluate trainer/assessor performance and learner assessment evidence. Ensure

consistency, fairness, and compliance

with Qualsafe and Ofqual standards. Deliver constructive feedback and support standardisation and continuous improvement. Prepare for and support

external quality assurance visits

. Maintain IQA reports, action plans, sampling strategies, and standardisation records.

Training Administration



Manage and maintain learner records, registration, and certification processes. Coordinate course scheduling, trainer deployment, and venue bookings. Ensure timely and accurate submission of learner results and assessment paperwork. Respond to learner and customer enquiries in a professional manner. Monitor stock of training materials, manuals, and certificates. Assist with internal audits and regulatory documentation.

Essential Criteria



Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (or equivalent: V1, D34). Relevant subject-specific competence in:

First Aid at Work (FAW)

Paediatric First Aid (PFA)

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Experience in internal quality assurance of regulated qualifications. Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and good organisation. Competence using digital tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, learner management systems, email platforms). Understanding of awarding body processes, ideally

Qualsafe Awards

. Excellent communication and time management skills.

Desirable Criteria



Experience working in a similar role. Knowledge of blended and online course delivery models. Experience supporting EQA visits and audits. Familiarity with CRM or training management software.
