We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our staff, ensuring that all IT systems are functioning efficiently. The IT Support Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our office technology and supporting various operating systems.
Responsibilities
Provide desktop support for hardware and software issues across various operating systems, including Windows and Mac OS.
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including firewall configurations and DNS settings.
Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware and software.
Respond to user inquiries and provide timely solutions while maintaining excellent communication throughout the process.
Manage tickets using Jira, ensuring all issues are documented and tracked efficiently.
Conduct regular system checks to ensure optimal performance of IT infrastructure.
Collaborate with other IT team members to implement improvements and upgrades as necessary.
Educate users on best practices for utilising technology effectively within the office environment.
Experience
Proven experience in a similar IT support role, demonstrating strong desktop support skills.
Familiarity with computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
Understanding of TCP/IP networking principles and protocols.
Experience working with various operating systems, particularly Windows and Mac OS.
Proficiency in using ticketing systems such as Jira for tracking support requests.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical users.
A proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and improving existing processes is highly desirable.
