Duties
Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing a variety of dishes in accordance with restaurant standards.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency, quality, and timely delivery of meals.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen activities.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow and customer satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and manage stock control efficiently.
Contribute to menu development by suggesting innovative dishes and presentation techniques.
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times.
Experience
Proven supervising experience within a busy culinary environment.
Extensive food production experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking.
Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
Solid kitchen experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in culinary operations.
