Responsibilities

Assist in preparing a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards Supervise junior kitchen staff and ensure smooth team operations Manage food production processes, ensuring efficiency and quality control Support in maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness within the kitchen Contribute to menu planning and presentation to enhance customer experience Oversee food serving procedures during service hours, ensuring timely delivery Collaborate with the team to uphold organisational goals and maintain a positive work environment Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed

Qualifications

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations Supervising experience or team management skills are highly desirable Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and hygiene standards Good communication skills and ability to work effectively under pressure Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential
