Brian Scaddan is at the forefront of high quality elelctrotechincal training and is now expanding!

Established in the secctor since 1995, delivering commercial training, NVQ's, adult learner progressson pathways, and apprenticeships in Hampshire, we are now expanding to several sites across the UK and our team is growing!

We are therefore looking for a Lead IQA to support our QA development strategy to ensure that we continue to improve the training landscape for all electricians.

Role Summary



The role comprises management of the IQA function, processes and systems as well as IQA duties. To line manage Brian Scaddan's IQA team to ensure effective delivery and quality assurance of all qualifications for full compliance with the requirements of external bodies - Awarding Organisations and OfQual.

Lead IQA Duties



Provide feedback and L&D support to IQAs to develop their practice to ensure systems and processes are being followed. Monitor, support and co-ordinate the work of the IQA working group and/or trainee IQAs. Ensure all assessor development observations and standardisations are planned and carried out in timely manner to facilitate the development of a highly skilled and effective delivery team. Work effectively with Lead Assessors to maximise the opportunity for Brian Scaddan to achieve its aims. Monitor and support IQA team with any contribution to assessor performance reviews to facilitate the development of a highly skilled and effective delivery team. Identify L&D needs of IQA's to ensure that they have skills, knowledge and competence to fulfil their role. Monitor learner progression escalating any concerns. Escalate any IQA concerns with Delivery Director. Allocate IQAs to new assessors and ensure effective IQA support and mentoring for all new assessors. Coordinate IQA standardisation meetings to ensure consistent practice throughout the IQA team including trainee IQA's

IQA Duties



Sample qualifications in line with sampling plan, risk banding and IQA strategy. Ensure all IQA documentation is completed adhering to Awarding Organisation and company standards. Maintain the integrity of all programmes by reporting any suspected malpractice or maladministration are followed. Provide feedback and advice to assessors to develop their assessment practices and ensure that trainee assessor's assessment decisions are countersigned. Plan and conduct learner interviews in line with the IQA strategy to ensure quality of delivery.

Awarding Organisations



Liaise with Awarding Organisations (AO) to agree sampling timeline and lead on external Quality Assurance (EQA) visits. Complete centre updates to inform AO of any changes to delivery team as and when required. Work on Centre Approval activities as directed by the Delivery Director co-ordinating the development of schemes of works (SOWs), lesson plans and approval applications.

Continuous Improvement



Ensure that cross cutting themes are included in the curriculum and that activities are planned and implemented by the relevant champions. Ensure information gathered during good practice groups is routinely disseminated and shared. Monitor the impact of the success of the champion roles. Lead on the planning and implementation of curriculum design to ensure learner resources are current and fit for purpose.

Line Managers Duties



Fully engage with your Line Manager communicating information and highlighting any support needs or concerns within the team and highlight areas of best practice. Engage the team in decision making taking on board suggestions and ideas, ensuring the loop is closed when the final decision is made. Regularly check the wellbeing of the team members whom you manage. Ensure effective communication, by passing on information whilst being considerate of remote workers at all times. Regularly review the staffing needs with the Delivery Director, ensuring the department is appropriately staffed on an ongoing basis. Ensure Brian Scaddan's IQA team complies with all company policies and processes. You will conduct regular performance reviews with staff members to measure progress against KPIs and identify any learning and development needs.

Pay: 35,000.00-50,000.00 per year
