We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of culinary techniques. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality meals to our guests. You will work closely with the kitchen staff to prepare and present dishes according to our restaurant's standards.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Ensure all food preparation is conducted in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Assist in the organisation and cleanliness of the kitchen, ensuring all equipment is maintained and cleaned properly.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to the Head Chef.
Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Participate in menu planning by providing input on new dishes or improvements to existing offerings.
Qualifications
Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or similar environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, including cooking methods, food safety, and sanitation practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within a busy kitchen environment.
