Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of North Indian dishes, focusing on curries and tandoori items. Assist in meal preparation by following recipes and maintaining consistency in taste and presentation. Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety standards and regulations. Help maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and assist with ordering supplies as necessary. Participate in menu planning and development, contributing ideas for new dishes or improvements.

Requirements

Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or culinary setting, preferably with expertise in Indian cuisine. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen hygiene standards. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail in meal preparation. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques or recipes. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required. A positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
