We are seeking a Deputy Manager for our Ofsted-registered therapeutic children's residential home in Tottenham (N17). About the Home
Our Tottenham children's home offers a warm, structured and therapeutic environment for young people aged 10-17. The home prioritises stability, emotional wellbeing and the development of essential life skills and resilience. As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in leading the care team, overseeing daily operations and ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership, supervision and guidance to the residential childcare team
Act as safeguarding lead when required, ensuring policies and procedures are fully implemented
Oversee care planning, behaviour support and risk management in accordance with Ofsted standards
Maintain compliance, audit readiness and drive continuous improvement
Support operational tasks including rota planning, staffing and budget management
Participate in inspection preparation, governance processes and service development
Engage in leadership training and mentoring in preparation for Registered Manager responsibilities
What We're Looking For
Minimum 2 years' experience in a senior or supervisory role within a children's residential home
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - essential
Motivation and readiness to undertake the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management
Strong understanding of safeguarding, regulation and quality standards within Ofsted-regulated settings
Confident, resilient and child-centred leadership approach
Commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality therapeutic practice
