Duties

Safely operate company vehicles to deliver parcels and goods to various locations within the designated area Plan delivery routes to optimise efficiency and timeliness Load and unload items, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from recipients as required Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status or delays Adhere to all traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies throughout the delivery process

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred Valid driver licence with a clean driving record Experience in commercial driving and warehouse operations is advantageous Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently Strong organisational skills to plan effective routes and manage deliveries Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently under minimal supervision Good knowledge of local roads, traffic patterns, and navigation tools
