We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods and packages promptly and safely across designated routes. Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans or lorries, to deliver parcels to various locations within the assigned area Plan efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled with care and secured properly during transit Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from recipients as required Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, delivery times, and any issues encountered Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules or delays Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly Adhere to all traffic laws and health and safety regulations at all times

Qualifications

Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record Experience in commercial driving or warehouse operations is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, often handling packages of varying sizes and weights Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members Organised with excellent time management skills to meet tight schedules Knowledge of local roads and navigation systems is desirable Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently under minimal supervision
