We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods and packages promptly and safely across designated routes. This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to providing outstanding service. The Courier will play a vital part in ensuring customer satisfaction through timely deliveries and professional conduct.
Duties
Safely operate company vehicles, including vans or lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Collect parcels from the warehouse or designated collection points and deliver them to customers within specified timeframes.
Plan efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption.
Assist with loading and unloading goods, including heavy lifting when necessary.
Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain signatures or proof of delivery from recipients.
Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any unforeseen issues.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and report any maintenance needs promptly.
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during deliveries.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred.
Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
Experience in commercial driving or warehouse operations is advantageous.
Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively.
Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently under minimal supervision.
