Job Overview

We are seeking 2 dedicated and passionate Cooks to join our culinary team on a job share basis. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in food preparation and safety, with a keen eye for detail and a love for creating delicious meals. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and that our guests enjoy high-quality dishes prepared with care.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food safety guidelines are adhered to, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment. Assist in the planning and preparation of menus, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and ingredients, assisting with ordering as necessary. Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any maintenance issues promptly.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or similar culinary environment is preferred. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation is essential. Strong culinary skills with the ability to prepare diverse meals efficiently. Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen setting, demonstrating the ability to multitask effectively. A passion for cooking and helping others enjoy great food is highly valued.

Shift pattern

2 week rota shift pattern, with every other weekend. If working a weekend, you will have days off during the week. Hours 8am - 2pm.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 13.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 24 per week
