Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handy Man to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of technical abilities, including electrical, mechanical, and welding skills, with experience in supervising and delivering excellent customer service. This role involves performing diverse repair, maintenance, and installation tasks across various facilities to ensure operational efficiency and safety. The successful applicant will demonstrate leadership qualities and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, electrical systems, and building infrastructure.
Perform welding tasks using appropriate techniques to repair or fabricate metal components.
Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions promptly.
Oversee small teams or supervise maintenance projects, ensuring safety standards are maintained throughout.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and organisational policies.
Experience
Proven experience in maintenance or maintenance person roles within industrial or commercial settings.
basic electrical experience, including working with PLCs and wiring schematics.
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform welding and basic fabrication tasks.
Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to colleagues and clients.
