Are you ready to embark on an exhilarating journey with a rapidly growing accountancy practice? Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and reliable Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our friendly and supportive team.

ST Accountancy specialise in accounting services and tax advice for SME's. They have two practices, and this role is based within their Braintree, Essex practice where there is a team of 5. They have a vision to be the biggest independent accountancy practice in East Anglia.

About the role...



This part-time position offers flexible working hours up to 25 hours per week, making it ideal for someone seeking a work-life balance. As a bookkeeper within our practice, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping duties for multiple clients. This is a varied role that requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.

Your key responsibilities will be:

Processing and reconciling client transactions using cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) Preparing and submitting VAT returns in accordance with HMRC regulations Maintaining purchase and sales ledgers Liaising with clients to request information and resolve queries Supporting the wider team with year-end preparation and ad hoc tasks Processing of payroll for a number of clients Completion of tax returns for clients Ensuring deadlines are met and records are kept up-to-date and accurate
