Maple Aion is a growing business with a focus on delivering quality and precision in the construction industry. We're now seeking a reliable, detail-oriented part-time Bookkeeper to support our finance operations and ensure our accounts remain accurate and up to date.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records using Xero accounting software
Upload, categorise, and manage invoices and receipts using HubDoc
Input financial data into our bespoke FileMaker-based ERP system
Prepare and maintain a weekly creditors and debtors list
Monitor accounts receivable and chase outstanding payments professionally and persistently
Support VAT preparation and reconciliations
Assist with monthly management accounts and reporting tasks
Liaise with internal team members and external accountants as needed
Help ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and best practices
Key Requirements:
Proven experience working with Xero and HubDoc
Strong attention to detail and high standards of accuracy
Proficient in data entry and general accounting principles
Comfortable learning and using FileMaker or similar ERP systems
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Confident communicator - both written and verbal
Ability to work independently while keeping in step with the wider team
Previous experience in or knowledge of the building or construction industry is advantageous
AAT qualification or equivalent experience is preferred
Additional Details:
Competitive hourly rate, based on experience
Flexible working hours, with the expectation of attending the Hartlebury office 2-3 days per week based on business needs
