Role: Performance Marketing Lead 100%

Location: Hybrid / London, England (1-2 days per week in the client\'s office + occasionally working from OLIVER HQ)

ROLE MISSION

Working in partnership with our client, the Performance Marketing Lead will help to define the growth strategy and own the execution, optimization, and reporting of performance marketing campaigns across our client\'s digital channels. This is an excellent role for candidates who have 8+ years of relevant experience and are excited about using their skills alongside strong marketing and sales teams to help drive best-in-class digital marketing.

ABOUT THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING

You will be part of a team of 13 within the DCoE where it will be your responsibility to take ownership of the main digital marketing channels. You will be working in collaboration with the wider marketing team (approximately 34 in the team), and you will be expected to work closely with our client\'s other external agencies and partners.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

The successful candidate will spearhead, strengthen and oversee the acquisition efforts for the team. You will play an active role in the formulation of the business growth strategy through ROI-based approaches and data-driven acquisition strategies. You will develop effective performance marketing strategies that support the achievement of the business\'s overall targets, goals, and objectives. You will take charge of identifying management information that is necessary for ensuring that the performance across all marketing priority areas can be monitored accurately and that any hindrances to strategies are discovered at an early stage.

WHAT IS REQUIRED:

  • Work in a consultative fashion to gather requirements, understand the diverse needs of the organisation and make smart recommendations.
  • Lead all digital marketing in paid channels: social, search, PPC and display.
  • Portray a keen interest and ability to conduct research and analyses on large and complex datasets to realise appropriate strategies and solutions for programs and campaigns.
  • To be hands-on and strategic when developing and optimizing each channel against KPIs.
  • Accountable to lead the team in budget allocation, spend management, and detailed channel annual planning.
  • Identify new opportunities and solutions for digital platforms through innovation, advancement and thought leadership.
  • Buidling and developing marketing effectiveness to recognize the impact of spend against each revenue channel and optimize to grow sales, traffic, conversion, and data.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Strategy & Planning Marketing Leaders to intake regional campaign strategies, stories, and KPIs.
  • Create a culture of digital expertise, summarising learnings and performance to teach cross functional partners best methods for high performing plans, including, content, creative and placement.
  • Partner with Creative to ensure creative assets developed meet the needs of the performance marketing plan, including opportunities to test and learn. Identify creative gaps based on changing media landscape.
  • Gain buy-in on strategic priorities and efforts from other key executives and stakeholders.
  • Be a valuable and trusted partner to your cross-functional platform representatives and content developers across all communication touch points to drive forward the business and marketing objectives.
  • Mobilize the team to drive tactical execution, analysis and optimization across all channels internally and with agency partners.
  • Be proficient in formulating SEO and SEM strategies and approaches and have an ability to work with analytical tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex information in a simple and clear manner that is understandable - a knack of extracting practical insights and actions from data in a way that non-practitioners find graspable.
  • Own multiple regional agency and media partner relationships in strategic and executional planning.
  • Maintain clear communication, expectations and timelines with internal teammates and external partners on deliverables.
  • Conduct in-depth post-program analyses, draw actionable insights from data, and develop hypothesis to improve efficiency of spend.
  • Lead team in extracting insight and developing best practices with a view to continually optimizing performance based on results.
  • Connect all available digital touchpoints across the customer journey with key insights to help influence behaviour and stimulate demand.
WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL
  • Experience of building and sustaining meaningful client partnerships whilst maintaining a strong commercial focus.
  • Results driven - creation of and delivery against business plans driven by growth targets
  • Confident working autonomously with partner or third party agencies.
  • Excellent presentation skills - both written and spoken.
  • Understanding of how to integrate with a client-side team whilst maintaining a top tier agency service.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical sector would be beneficial, B2B experience is a must.
  • Experience of Martech solutions would be useful.
  • Very strong relevant digital marketing experience.
