The Plant Asset and Procurement team are seeking a proactive and highly organised Hire Coordinator to manage all equipment and asset requirements across our projects in Ireland, Great Britain and Europe.
Role Overview:
This role is pivotal in ensuring that our sites are equipped with the right tools, machinery, and site welfare units ranging from handheld tools and MEWPs to welfare cabins and containers.
The Hire & Asset Coordinator will oversee the planning, ordering, delivery, and return of hire equipment while maintaining an accurate asset register and managing all related documentation. Working closely with site teams, suppliers, and plant assets department, the role aims to optimise equipment availability, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, capable of juggling multiple projects and suppliers across regions, and possess strong communication skills to liaise effectively with internal departments and external vendors.###
What You'll be Doing
Oversee the full hire lifecycle across multiple projects and regions, including planning, ordering, delivery coordination, and off-hire processes. Collaborate with site teams to align equipment hire with project timelines and requirements, maintaining a central register to track all hired assets using asset management tools. Manage administrative documentation such as maintenance logs, inspection reports, and hire agreements, while coordinating with maintenance teams to minimize downtime. Support procurement by handling asset and supply requests, liaising with vendors, and managing purchase orders. Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure timely, cost-effective solutions, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations, assist with audits, manage end-of-life asset disposal, and generate reports on costs, utilisation, maintenance, and supplier performance to support informed decision-making and consistent service delivery.###
