Tiny Tots Playgroup, a well-established Private & Flying Start childcare setting is seeking to recruit an organised and enthusiastic Playgroup Assistant who holds a level 3 childcare qualification

The playgroup based in Rumney, and St Mellons Cardiff has childcare places for 28 children, with a current staff team of 7.

The playgroup Assistants role includes;

Working within the Management Team to deliver high quality childcare throughout the setting

Ensuring that each child's wellbeing is met and that they thrive in a safe environment

Safeguarding all children in our care

To support in planning and looking at reflective practice

This role will require you to work 30 hours per week, between 8.00am - 3.30pm, Monday to Friday,

The Playgroup Assistant will have a enthusiastic desire to develop a career in childcare and be competent in using IT. You will need a strong understanding of the CSSIW, policies, procedures, food hygiene, safeguarding and child protection. Knowledge of Flying Start policies and processes would be beneficial. In addition, a portable DBS or candidates must be willing to purchase.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent organisational skills, ensure professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
