Print Operative And Client Support

Leith, SCT, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

About Us:

Club Backdrops is an Edinburgh-based e-commerce business and the market leader in providing pro-quality vinyl and canvas photography backdrops. Our surfaces are produced on site in our Edinburgh warehouse and distributed both domestically and internationally with our backdrops being trusted by a broad range of customers - from global brands and creative agencies, to freelance photographers and content creators around the world. We pride ourselves on delivering beautifully made backdrops that help our customers bring their creative visions to life.

We're currently entering an exciting phase of transition as we refine our processes, expand our product offerings, and invest in our in-house production capabilities. As we take the next step in our evolution, we're looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Print Operative to join our small, friendly team and play a key role in helping us maintain the high standards and reputation we've built over the previous 7 years.

:

As our new Print Operative your primary duties will include scheduling and executing print runs, cutting and trimming finished prints, performing general printer maintenance, and carefully packing custom orders for dispatch. Alongside these production tasks, you'll also handle a range of administrative and customer service responsibilities - responding to customer enquiries via email, following up any reported order discrepancies, and ensuring all communications are handled promptly and professionally in a courteous manner.

We're a very small and collaborative team where everyone contributes across different areas of the business. While our core duties are clearly defined, we often support one another when needed - so flexibility, initiative, and a willingness to pitch in are key to thriving in this role.

What We're Looking For:

We don't necessarily need the ideal candidate to come perfectly qualified and full training will be provided across all aspects of the role. However, you should be someone who is comfortable managing and prioritising your workload, confident with technology, and possess a keen eye for detail. Most importantly, you'll be enthusiastic about contributing to a small business and enjoy working closely with a tight-knit and supportive team.

Essential Skills & Attributes

Comfortable using digital tools and learning new systems An affinity for technology Excellent attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work flexibly and adapt to shifting priorities Ability to safely lift and move bulky print materials (up to 25kg)

Desirable (but not essential)

Previous experience in a print, production, or a visually creative environment Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop
We're keen to meet proactive and detail-oriented candidates who are excited by the idea of being part of a foundational creative business.

Benefits:

We believe in creating a supportive and rewarding work environment. As part of our team you'll enjoy a range of benefits, including:

Quarterly Bonus Scheme

- Performance-based bonuses awarded every quarter, recognising your contribution to our success.

Christmas & New Year Closure

- Enjoy a proper break with paid time off during the festive period.

Work-life Balance

- We operate a flexible 7 hour workday - enjoy your evenings!

Competitive Pay

- A fair and competitive rate of pay, reviewed regularly. The salary is listed at a full-time equivalent (FTE) rate and will be paid on a pro-rata basis according to agreed working hours.

Well-Stocked Team Kitchen

- Access to a staff kitchen with tea, coffee, and everyday essentials to keep you fuelled throughout the day - lunch is on us!
We look forward to hearing from you!
