We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious

Jaespa Saw Operator

to join our team at

John Scott Works in Featherstone

. In this role, you'll operate a Jaespa horizontal bandsaw to cut metal stock to precise lengths, supporting our production and fabrication processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate a Jaespa bandsaw safely and efficiently Measure and cut materials to exact specifications Read and follow basic engineering drawings or cutting instructions Maintain the saw and perform routine blade changes Keep the work area clean, safe, and organised Inspect materials for quality before and after cutting Assist with general workshop tasks as required

Requirements:

Experience operating a saw in a workshop or industrial setting (Jaespa experience preferred) Strong attention to detail and measurement accuracy Familiarity with workshop health & safety practices Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physically fit and comfortable handling heavy stock

Desirable:

Valid forklift truck licence Experience using an overhead crane Previous experience in steel fabrication or metal processing
