Property Manager
Job Description
Simon Powell Commercial is an established firm of chartered surveyors specialising in commercial property and offering a range of help and advice to our clients. Established in 1997 by Simon Powell the business deals mainly with property management and agency work, along with professional services and legal advice. We work predominantly in West Devon and East Cornwall, but advise clients throughout the South West and beyond. We are looking for a well organised, enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join the business, mainly to assist with the increasing property management workload.
The candidate should have property management experience, with the key skills being very well organised, computer literate and confident in dealing with both clients and tenants to sort out issues and problems that arise.
Duties to include but not limited to:
Organising invoicing and collection of rents
Update financial records using QuickBooks
Respond to landlords and tenants' issues where possible
Organise and maintain relationship with suitable contractors
Arrange repairs, cleaning, utilities etc as necessary
Organise insurance and utilities as required
Essential Skills
At least 10 years experience in a similar role
A professional attitude and the ability to work on your own
Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Microsoft Office IT literacy
Desired skills (but training can be given):
Familiarity with QuickBooks Desktop accounting software.
A full driving licence and access to own transport is required.
Hours and Salary:
37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday
Pay dependant on experience from 26,700 per annum
