About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused
Property Negotiator
to join our Development & Growth team. You will play a key role in acquiring and letting good quality accommodation from the private rented sector, supporting our mission to provide safe, sustainable housing options for residents across Barnet.
This role involves promoting our Let2Barnet and Bumblebee schemes, liaising with landlords and tenants, and ensuring properties are let efficiently and in line with policy and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Procure and let homes from private and social landlords
Conduct property inspections, appraisals, and accompanied viewings
Manage tenancy processes including referencing, inventories, and compliance
Support vulnerable tenants and liaise with external agencies
Maintain accurate records and CRM systems
Promote properties through direct marketing and networking events
Ensure safeguarding, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance
What you'll need to succeed
Minimum 12 months' experience in property management or housing services
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Confident in resolving challenging situations professionally
Knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy law, and property standards
IT literate with experience using databases and MS Office
Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
