Electrical Purchasing Manager



We are seeking a

detail-oriented and highly organised Electrical Purchasing Specialist

to manage and oversee the procurement of electrical-related materials. The ideal candidate will have experience in sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials while ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery to support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities



Procurement Management Source and purchase electrical materials from approved suppliers. Maintain optimal inventory levels--avoiding both overstocking and understocking. Build and sustain relationships with vendors, manufacturers, and suppliers. Preferably bring experience from the retail/wholesale electrical industry.

Supplier Evaluation & Negotiation



Evaluate suppliers based on pricing, quality, delivery time, and service levels. Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions to obtain the most cost-effective solutions. Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues such as late deliveries or quality discrepancies.

Inventory & Stock Management



Monitor inventory levels and usage trends to anticipate procurement needs. Work closely with warehouse teams to coordinate timely delivery and receipt of goods. Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of inventory, suppliers, contracts, and purchasing data.

Order Management



Generate purchase orders (POs) and track order status from initiation to delivery. Ensure all purchases meet company specifications and relevant industry standards.

Reporting & Analysis



Prepare regular reports on purchasing activity, inventory levels, and supplier performance. Analyse market trends to forecast demand and improve purchasing efficiency.

Compliance & Documentation



Adhere to internal procurement policies and ensure compliance with legal and safety standards. Keep all procurement documentation organised for audits and reporting.

Cross-functional Collaboration



Liaise with sales, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure alignment on procurement needs. Assist with resolving procurement-related issues that may arise across departments.

Qualifications & Skills



Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management--ideally within the

electrical industry

. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems. Familiarity with electrical materials, specifications, and industry standards. Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

Working Conditions



May require occasional travel to supplier locations or job sites. Occasional lifting or handling of materials may be necessary.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 30,000.00-40,000.00 per year
