Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Teaching Assistant to join our Reception team in September to support a high-needs pupil with an EHCP. This young learner, who will be joining us for the first time, presents with:
Speech and Language Needs
Sensory Processing Needs
Difficulties with Emotional Regulation
This is a crucial role that will involve supporting the child's early development and transition into the school environment, ensuring that their individual needs are met with consistency, care, and specialist strategies. You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and external professionals to implement and adapt support plans.
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience supporting children in the Early Years, particularly those with EHCPs. Knowledge of strategies for speech and language development, sensory integration, and emotional regulation. A nurturing and patient approach, with the ability to build trust and strong relationships. A commitment to inclusive practice and personalised learning.
