An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen within our established small company for a dedicated and passionate Registered Children's Home Manager. The RM will oversee the care and well-being of children in our beautiful 2 bedded home.
We have an established and dedicated team supporting our YP.
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing child care services and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people.
We are offering a highly competitive starting salary of 50,000 - along with 28 days annual leave PLUS bank holidays.
ESSENTIAL
- Experience of working in a Senior or Strategic Role within a children's residential care setting for at least the last 2 years out of 5.
- Level 3/4 Diploma in Children's Residential Care or equivalent is compulsory.
- Resilience, enthusiasm, passion and motivation.
- Proven ability to lead staff teams and line management experience, including supervisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Calm, approachable manner, adaptable and non-judgemental.
- Able to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Knowledge of Child Protection and Safeguarding.
- Ability to drive and hold a current driving license.
DESIRABLE
- NVQ or Diploma Level 5 in Leadership & Management in Residential Services or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a Registered Manager or deputy Manager role in a Residential Children's Setting.
DUTIES
- Being accountable for delivering a high quality service, incorporating care, welfare, safety and security of all children and young people in their care in order for them to achieve a secure base in which to flourish.
- Supporting, leading and managing a team of staff who will provide protection and support the children and young people with their physical, psychological, emotional and social development.
- Managing the home on a day-to-day basis, ensuring it is meeting all relevant legislative and contractual requirements.
- Develop and implement care plans for children in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Supervise and lead a team of caregivers to provide high-quality care.
- Coordinate activities and programs to promote the physical, emotional, and social development of children.
- Maintain accurate records of children's health, progress, and any incidents.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
