Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to oversee the operations of our childrens residential care facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the care of children, including children with LD and EBD needs. This role requires exceptional leadership skills to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained for our children, particularly those with additional needs. The Registered Manager will be responsible for developing care plans, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities



To be responsible for shaping and delivering the residential home's Statement of Purpose and managing the team to achieve the same.

To provide high quality care services that support the needs of children and young people, to be an advocate for their well-being, and to provide strong motivational leadership to the team.

Lead and manage the daily operations of the care home, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for residents. Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans tailored to the needs of each child. Supervise and support staff, providing guidance and training to ensure high-quality care delivery. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and standards in the provision of care services. Manage medication administration processes, ensuring safety and accuracy in accordance with best practices. Foster positive relationships with the children, families, and external stakeholders to promote a caring, family atmosphere. Conduct regular assessments of children's needs and adjust care plans as necessary. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to children's care and staff performance.

Experience



Experience at senior level in a Residential Children's home

Hold and promote the ethos and values of the organisation Ability to demonstrate reasoning, numeracy, literacy and technology skills to required standard Ability to work as a team, working closely with colleagues and other agencies Ability to solve problems Able to work within the principles of the Children Act 1989 Demonstrate a sound working knowledge of safeguarding Sound knowledge of children's homes policies and procedures Proven leadership and management abilities Excellent communication skills- both verbally and written Ability to produce reports Working knowledge of the Care Standards 2000, Children's Homes Regulations 2015.

Strong supervisory experience with a focus on team leadership and development. Familiarity with medication administration protocols and regulatory compliance within the care sector. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and staff members. Pay: 50,000.00-55,000.00 per year

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
