Registered Manager - Children's Home (Han Y Bont, Llanelli)

Working Hours

40 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Flexibility required for emergencies or staffing cover. Options: 7.30am - 3.30pm or 8am - 4pm. Flexibility to work from home for up to 8 hours per week and early finish on a Friday
Freshstart Care is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead our 3-bedded children's home, Han Y Bont in Llanelli. Rated Excellent in Wellbeing, Care & Support, and Leadership & Management, we are proud of our commitment to delivering high-quality, child-centred care in line with RISCA 2016 and The Social Services and Wellbeing Act 2014.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will:

Lead, motivate, and develop a dedicated staff team. Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people. Ensure compliance with all legislation, regulations, and the home's Statement of Purpose. Work in partnership with families, agencies, and professionals to achieve positive outcomes.

Requirements

QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Children's Residential Management) - or actively working towards. Registration with Social Care Wales (or eligibility). Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Up-to-date knowledge of Welsh childcare legislation and best practice.

Salary & Benefits

43,000 - 49,000 depending on experience, qualifications, and overall skillset. Enhancements and performance-related bonus linked to quality of care, outcomes, and staff wellbeing. Paid emergency on-call.

Annual leave:

32 days (4 above statutory) + 2 extra days after 2 years' service. Opportunity to train as a
