As
Registered Manager
, you will:
Lead and inspire your residential childcare team to achieve
outstanding outcomes
for children.
Promote a
therapeutic culture
where behaviour is understood as communication of underlying need.
Oversee all aspects of the home's management in line with
Children's Homes Regulations (England) 2015
and
Quality Standards
.
Ensure
safeguarding
, risk management and reflective practice remain central to everything the home does.
Build a joyful, structured home environment with
positive routines, rituals and boundaries
that support safety and belonging.
Develop and mentor your team through
coaching, supervision, and performance development
.
Work collaboratively with professionals, families and placing authorities to secure the best outcomes for every child.
About You
You are an inspirational leader with a deep commitment to children and to high-quality therapeutic care.
Essential criteria:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards completion).
Experience of managing or deputy-managing an
Ofsted-registered children's home
rated Good or Outstanding*. Excellent understanding of
safeguarding
,
children's residential care regulations
, and
trauma-informed practice
.
Strong people leadership, emotional resilience, and the ability to stay calm and connected under pressure.
Desirable:
Experience embedding
DDP
,
PACE
, or similar attachment- and trauma-informed approaches.
Track record of leading improvement plans, preparing for Ofsted inspections, and supporting staff development.
