Veterinary Nurse - Clinical Support & Pharmacy


Behavioural Referrals Veterinary Practice - Chester

We are looking for a proactive and organised Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our busy behavioural referral practice. Working closely with both clinical and operations teams, you will play a key role in medication management and client support throughout behavioural treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities



Medication & Dispensary



Dispense POMs, pheromones and nutraceuticals Complete medication sign-offs and disposals Manage stock: ordering, chasing deliveries, inputting, stock takes and discrepancy reporting Maintain temperature checks and storage compliance Manage the dispensary inbox and medication postage Attend and contribute to clinical meetings

Client Communication



Discuss medication costs, side effects and care instructions Support with insurance queries Arrange veterinary follow-up calls when required Manage concerns and escalate appropriately Confirm dispensing timelines

Clinical Follow-Up



Track bloods, lab work and imaging requests Liaise with referring practices to ensure diagnostics are completed Summarise blood results for vet review and allocate imaging tasks

About You



RVN with confidence in medication handling and client communication Excellent IT skills, numeracy and organisation Calm, compassionate and professional communicator Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Essential



Veterinary Nurse registered with the RCVS Minimum 3 years' experience in general practice Strong administrative capability and attention to detail

Desirable



Dispensing qualifications/ CPD SQP qualification

Behavioural Referrals Veterinary Practice provides a referral service in small animal behavioural medicine. Our veterinary team delivers a tailored behavioural diagnosis and treatment plan to our clients, supported by the rehabilitation skills coaches and physiotherapist to ensure comprehensive ongoing care.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 26,000.00-28,000.00 per year
