Purpose-built practice | Varied caseload | Real investment in your development
If you want to feel valued again
If you are an RVN who enjoys being busy, learning new skills, and working with people who genuinely have each other's backs, this could be exactly the kind of role you have been missing.
The Opportunity
We are working with a large, modern veterinary practice in Rotherham that has built its nursing team around one simple idea: great patient care starts with supported, confident nurses.
This is a full-time, permanent role where you will be trusted to use your skills properly. You will be part of a growing nursing team that plays an active role in clinical care, client communication, and supporting a varied and interesting caseload. No being sidelined. No feeling like "just another pair of hands".
They are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys teamwork, communicates well, and wants to keep learning. Someone who likes variety in their day and takes pride in delivering high standards of care to both patients and clients.
Why This Role Is Different
A genuinely impressive clinical setup
This is a purpose-built practice with facilities that many hospitals would envy, including:
9 consultation rooms
supporting a busy and diverse caseload
4 operating theatres
plus a dedicated dental suite
Ultrasound and a CT suite
housing a
128-slice CT scanner
Separate
dog and cat wards
, plus multiple prep areas
You will be nursing properly, not improvising around limitations.
Nurses who are encouraged to grow
Many of the team are working towards additional certificates, with strong support from the practice. CPD is not just available, it is actively encouraged, with time and funding to match your interests.
A team that works together
You will be joining a group of colleagues who are passionate about high standards and about supporting each other on busy days. The focus is on collaboration, clear communication, and doing things properly, even when things get hectic.
Structure without burnout
The rota is
39 to 40 hours per week
, with
1:4 weekends
and duty nights on rotation. There is a clear structure to out-of-hours responsibilities, rather than constant pressure falling on the same people.
Your Journey Here
In your first month
, you will focus on settling in, getting to know the team, and becoming confident with the practice systems, protocols, and facilities. Support will be close at hand while you find your feet.
By three months
, you will be comfortable managing your nursing responsibilities across a varied caseload, contributing confidently to patient care, and starting to explore CPD options that align with your interests.
By six months
, you will be a trusted and established member of the nursing team, using the practice's facilities to their full potential and developing your skills in areas that genuinely interest you.
