Job Description

We have a fantastic Internal opportunity for a Renal Co-ordinator on the South Yorkshire renal contract. This role will be based predominantly within the main renal units across the South Yorkshire region, however there will be a requirement to work from other locations in the area.

Contract Type: Permanent, full time - 37.5 hour per week

Working Hours: Subject to need. Core hours will be anything between 10:00 - 18:00 however there may be a need to attend units on the later shifts should issues arise that require attention.





The Renal Co-ordinator position is key to help bridge the gap between hospitals and our operations team on a daily basis.

Key responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationship between Renal units and EMED in order to streamline Renal patient transport in co-ordination with Renal unit process. Being the point of contact for escalation for your designated trust for issues relating to renal units within the Nottinghamshire contract. Being the point of contact for immediate Renal patient queries Be the point of contact between Renal managers and EMED managers. Attend meetings on an ad-hoc basis. To maintain positive relationships with Renal Patients and staff. To assist operational and CCO managers with issues that arise throughout the day. General office duties and other assistance should the need arise. Dealing with patient's complaints and stakeholder concerns as they arise. This will also include the investigation, resolution and submission of recommendations in relation to formal complaints and concerns. Familiarisation with EMED policies, processes, and standard operating procedures




Health & Safety




Report violations of compliance or regulatory standards to duly authorised enforcement agencies as appropriate or required. Reporting immediately any infectious nature or accident incurred by a client, colleague, self or another. Understanding and ensuring the implementation of the EMED's Health & Safety, Infection Control and hygiene policies, and Emergency & Fire procedures. Reporting to the Contract Manager any faulty equipment, or any potential hazard. Promoting safe working practice within EMED Group




General




Contributing to the safeguarding of adults and Children by ensuring you are aware of your role in relation to the EMED's Safeguarding Policy, taking steps to protects clients from any form of abuse or neglect and use the appropriate reporting mechanisms. Adhering to all new, and changes in NHS and Central Government initiatives as and when they are implemented. Ensuring that all information of a confidential nature gained in the course of work is not divulged to third parties. Adhering to all Company policies and procedures within the defined timescales. Ensuring all equipment is clean and well maintained. Carrying out any other tasks that may be reasonably assigned to you.

About you

You must hold a Full UK Manual driving licence with less than 6 penalty points Enthusiastic/highly motivated Organised approach to work Excellent communication skills Good at prioritising Conflict resolution skills Good telephone manner Excellent attention to detail Flexibility Ability to remain calm under pressure Ability to work successfully as part of a small team Patient focused approach Basic IT skills Experience of working in a healthcare / hospital setting (beneficial but not required)
