Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated

Responsible Individual (RI)

to cover 3 areas in

London and Kent

to provide strategic leadership and oversight across a small group of

children's residential homes

supporting young people with

Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)

.

The successful candidate will take on a key leadership role, ensuring the homes deliver safe, nurturing and compliant care while supporting Registered Managers to achieve the highest standards.

ready to step into a regional role.

Key Responsibilities



Provide strategic oversight across multiple children's homes (SW17, ME14 & HA3). Ensure homes meet and exceed Ofsted requirements, safeguarding legislation and regulatory standards. Support, mentor and develop Registered Managers, driving consistent quality improvement. Act as the Ofsted-named Responsible Individual for the homes. Monitor operational performance, staffing structures and compliance. Build strong relationships with local authorities, external professionals and stakeholders. Report to senior directors, ensuring accountability and transparency across services.

Candidate Requirements



Essential:



Experience as a Responsible Individual or extensive Registered Manager experience within children's residential care. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or equivalent). Excellent knowledge of safeguarding, childcare legislation and Ofsted inspection frameworks. Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and support multiple managers. Flexibility to travel regularly between homes.

Desirable:



Track record of achieving "Good" or "Outstanding" Ofsted ratings. Experience with new home registration and service development. Full UK Driving Licence.
