Social Care Consultant

to provide expert guidance and oversight across multiple children's residential homes in the South East.

This influential role combines strategic leadership, regulatory governance, and hands-on support, giving you the opportunity to directly impact the quality of care delivered to vulnerable children and young people.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert consultancy and leadership across several children's homes. Ensure full compliance with Ofsted and Children's Homes Regulations 2015. Coach and mentor Registered Managers to deliver excellent, child-centred care. Lead safeguarding initiatives, embedding safe, transparent, and accountable practice. Oversee and support Ofsted inspections, striving for 'Good' and 'Outstanding' results. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, reflection, and professional growth. Advise on budgets, staffing, and resource management to ensure sustainable practice. Build strong partnerships with local authorities, social workers, and regulators. Support staff training, development, and performance management.
About You

Minimum 3 years' senior leadership experience in children's residential care (essential). NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or commitment to achieve). Excellent knowledge of Ofsted frameworks, safeguarding legislation, and Quality Standards. Strong communicator with proven leadership and decision-making skills. A genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people. Full UK driving licence (essential).
