Are you an experienced leader with the drive to raise standards, embed safeguarding, and inspire excellence in children's residential care? We are seeking a forward-thinking

Social Care Consultant

to provide strategic leadership, professional guidance, and regulatory oversight across multiple homes in the South East. This role combines strategic influence with hands-on support, empowering Registered Managers to deliver safe, high-quality, child-focused care.

Key Responsibilities:



Provide consultancy, support, and leadership across multiple residential children's homes. Ensure homes meet and exceed Ofsted standards and the Children's Homes Regulations 2015. Coach and mentor Registered Managers to deliver excellent, child-centred care. Lead safeguarding initiatives and embed robust, accountable practices. Support services through Ofsted inspections, aiming for 'Good' and 'Outstanding' outcomes. Promote a culture of learning, accountability, and continuous improvement. Advise on budgets, staffing, and resource management to ensure efficiency and sustainability. Build positive relationships with local authorities, social workers, and regulatory bodies. Drive staff development, training, and performance management initiatives.

About You:



Minimum 3 years' senior leadership experience in children's residential care. NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or commitment to achieve). Excellent knowledge of Ofsted frameworks, safeguarding legislation, and Quality Standards. Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills. Proven ability to influence practice and improve outcomes. Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel across the South East. Genuine passion for improving children's lives and ensuring care always comes first.
