GB PIZZA CO has been serving award-winning wood-fired pizza on Margate's historic seafront since 2012. As we enter our 13th year, we are looking for a Restaurant Manager to head up our team and oversee our casual dining restaurant. With stunning sea and sunset views, GB PIZZA CO has been a go-to on Margate's Marine Drive for locals and visitors alike. Open 7 days a week, we offer thin and crispy pizzas topped with seasonal and local toppings, in a relaxed and stylish venue.



We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, hire and train staff, and maintain our five-star food hygiene standard, which we have held since 2012.



You will also work alongside the owner to continue to develop our strong, trademarked brand, by ensuring consistently high levels of customer service using your experience and professional attitude. You will help to contribute to the growth and popularity of GB PIZZA CO, as well as nurture and grow our employees.



The successful candidate will be fully accountable for the restaurant in terms of guest experience, finance, sales growth, legal compliance and team development, both FOH and BOH. You will work closely with the owner and their accountants to run a smooth and successful operation in terms of finance, product and people.

Objectives of this role



Oversee restaurant operations and ensure consistency of product and service Maintain a positive restaurant culture Create work rotas that align with the restaurant's needs Ensure proper compliance with restaurant hygiene regulations, compliance and health and safety Train new employees to help them meet the restaurant's expectations and needs Interact with diners and build positive rapport with our varied customer base

Responsibilities



Manage and ensure that the restaurant and kitchen teams operate at a high standard at all times Supervise both kitchen staff and front of house team, providing necessary feedback Write daily budget reports on both revenue and costs Communicate with diners and mitigate potential conflicts Organise and take stock of restaurant supplies Maintain weekly and monthly payroll for staff Drive the GB culture - inspire, guide and educate the team

Skills and qualifications



Proven work experience in a restaurant setting Demonstrated customer service skills Understanding of financial management Strong knowledge of restaurant management software Ability to memorise and explain the restaurant's menu Willingness to work flexible hours Fluent in Microsoft Excel Clear verbal communication skills Organisation skills Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time Clear attention to detail Problem-solving skills Knowledge of current food and beverage trends Evidence of managing a team

The Offer:



Position

: Restaurant Manager

Hours

: 42 hours per week, approx - this can increase in the busy 7 weeks of summer. You must be available at weekends

Salary

: 32,000-35,0000 OTE (plus TRONC service charge)

Holiday

: 28 days per year

Schedule

: 5 days on, 2 days off
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 32,000.00-35,000.00 per year
