Restaurant Manager



Responsible to

: Airfield Manager, Office Manager in Airfield Manager's absence.

Salary Range

: 38,000 to 40,000 subject to experience - based on 45 hours per week, including weekends.

Purpose

: The restaurant manager is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of food and beverage operations, inside and outside, at Compton Abbas Airfield are functioning to the highest possible standards at all times.

Responsibilities:



Responsible for Smokehouse front of house (FoH) food and beverage operations, including outside facilities, at Compton Abbas Airfield.

- Accountable for routine FoH operations, (Smokehouse, bar and outside F & B outlets) including evaluation and improvement of performance/efficiencies.

- Meeting customer service expectations. Greet guests, seat them and ensure they receive efficient service from the FoH staff.

- Managing the FoH inventory. Order and account for stock, including wastage and stock rotation, and the conduct of accurate regular stock checks.

- Liaising with suppliers to ensure quality and value for money.

- FoH commercial performance and drinks GP.

- Production and maintenance of FoH operating procedures to ensure consistent operations.

- Overseeing the maintenance of FoH equipment.

- Hiring, training and developing BoH staff, ensuring training and other staff records are accurate and up to date.

- Managing FoH staff ensuring the highest standards of appearance, professionalism and customer service.

- Efficient scheduling of FoH staff to meet operational requirements.

- Complete, update and review FoH Risk Assessments. Implement and assure procedural changes arising from risk assessments.

- Ensuring compliance with hygiene & health and safety regulations, maintaining relevant documentation.

- Routine application, use and management of point-of-sale software.

- Manage FoH during Initial Emergency Response procedures.

- Liaising closely with and supporting the Head Chef to deliver a high-quality customer experience.

- Other tasks as directed by the Airfield Manager in relation to FnB in the interest of the business.

Skills



Essential

:

- Must be experienced in restaurant/cafe management, with a proven record of high-quality customer service.

- Must have leadership, roster, personnel, and stock management experience.

- Must be willing and available to work weekends and evenings.

- Must be hard working, work well as part of a team, be proactive, and set high standards.

- A good standard of IT skills to ensure point-of-sale software is accurate updated.

- Able to work and lead calmly under pressure in fast paced customer focused environment

- Proven problem solver with positive can-do attitude

- Fluent communicator - both written and spoken

Desirable

:

- Bar experience.

- First aid trained and have experience in incident control.

- Background in training and personnel development.

- Kitchen and food preparation experience.

- Willing to undertake Delegated Premises Supervisor duties and other CPD opportunities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 38,000.00-40,000.00 per year
