The Ormond at Tetbury
is a much-loved 21-bedroom boutique hotel in the heart of the Cotswolds. Following a major investment, we've recently launched
Bistro 23
- our brand-new restaurant celebrating local produce, relaxed dining, and bold flavours in a stylish setting.
We're now looking for a passionate and experienced
Restaurant Manager
(Food & Beverage Manager) to lead the team at Bistro 23 and help us become the go-to dining destination for locals and visitors alike.
What You'll Do
As Restaurant Manager, you'll take full ownership of the food and beverage operation across our
restaurant
,
bar
, and
event spaces
.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading, motivating, and inspiring the front-of-house team
Ensuring
outstanding guest service
at every touchpoint
Working closely with the Head Chef on menu knowledge, dish preparation, and daily specials
Confidently explaining
cooking methods
,
ingredient sourcing
, and
wine pairings
to guests and staff
Managing rotas, stock, suppliers, and service standards
Monitoring costs and hitting commercial targets
Being the face of the restaurant - warm, professional, and present
This is a
hands-on leadership role

What We're Looking For
You're an experienced hospitality professional who is passionate about
great food
,
service
, and
team culture
. You'll ideally have:
Experience as a Restaurant Manager or F&B Manager in a quality hotel or restaurant
Excellent knowledge of
food, wine, and service standards
Strong understanding of
cooking techniques
and
ingredient provenance
A confident, calm, and approachable management style
A love for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
Strong communication and organisation skills
What You'll Get in Return
Salary: 35,000 - 45,000
, depending on experience
Performance bonus and incentive scheme
Live-in accommodation available
Full-time: 5 days out of 7, approx. 50 hours/week (rota-based)
