Tapas Bar we are looking for an experienced Restaurant Supervisor to lead the team we have built and, where they see fit, build the team further.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, including supervising staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining high standards of food/drink quality and service.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve overall restaurant performance and profitability.
- Recruit, manage the rota for, train and mentor staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage food costs to optimise profitability, including negotiating prices with suppliers (training provided if needed)
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar team to develop menus, create new dishes/drinks, and ensure efficient food/drink production.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, provide feedback, and address any concerns or issues.
- Produce reports and analyse sales figures, reports and the different market segments to define the best-suited pricing and sale strategies
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers, staff, and suppliers.
- Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service standards, and health regulations.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and achieve financial targets.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and proficiency in using restaurant management software.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
