We are Falcon Communications, a small, but dedicated publisher of CBRNe World magazine, printed every two months, which serves the information needs of professionals around the world charged with planning for or responding to chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or explosives (CBRNe) threat or incident. In addition to the magazine we have a range of online information products.
We also host CBRNe Convergence events, annually in the USA and internationally.
About the role:
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Executive to join us in selling print advertising, conference exhibition and sponsorship and a range of other products. We have a series of mature products, and are the world's leading information provider in our niche. If you are interested in a small company that can make quick decisions on your good ideas, then this is your opportunity. Some international travel is required around Europe, the US and Asia, so a passport with no criminal record is a requirement.
Please note this is an office-based role in Winchester (UK), however candidates will be required to travel to customers and exhibition trade shows as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships with key customers as a sales function.
New business development
Supply monthly figures to line manager.
Assisting other areas of the business such as organising trade events.
Any ad hoc business.
About you:
Experience, Skills and Knowledge:
At least one years' experience in advertising sales (print and digital) and providing solutions based on customer needs.
At least three years' experience with managing and development accounts
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels
Excellent organisational skills
Ability in problem-solving and negotiation
Excellent creativity and ability to think outside the box, bringing fresh ideas to the table
Excellent Microsoft Office and IT skills
Interest in current affairs, especially defence and foreign affairs, is desirable, but not essential.
