To lead the internal sales team in efficiently managing enquiries, quotations, and orders for lift components and electrics, ensuring excellent customer service, accurate sales processing, and strong coordination with other departments. The role drives performance through KPI reviews and process improvements to support sales growth and operational excellence.

Main Duties and Areas of Responsibility (in order of priority)



About the Role:



We are seeking a commercially driven and detail-oriented

Sales Office Manager

to oversee our internal sales operations for lift components and electrics. This role is pivotal in managing the quotation process, driving performance through structured KPI reviews, and ensuring efficient sales administration. You will lead a small but dynamic team and play a key role in customer satisfaction, process optimisation, and internal coordination.

Key Responsibilities:



Sales Office & Team Management:



Lead and develop the internal sales team, ensuring efficient daily operations and high levels of motivation. Allocate workload effectively and ensure timely follow-up on all enquiries, quotations, and orders. Foster a culture of accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

Quotation Management & Review:



Oversee the full quotation lifecycle: logging, preparation, accuracy checking, and timely delivery to customers. Review all major quotations for technical accuracy, pricing consistency, and commercial viability. Work closely with technical teams and external sales to ensure quotations are aligned with customer specifications. Track and analyse quotation conversion rates and identify areas for improvement.

Customer Service & Sales Support:



Ensure all customer interactions are handled with professionalism and urgency. Act as the main escalation point for key client accounts or complex issues. Support the external sales team with accurate product information, pricing support, and order updates.

KPI Management & Reporting:



Define, monitor, and regularly review key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales office team (e.g., quotation turnaround time, order accuracy, sales targets, response time). Conduct regular performance reviews and feedback sessions with team members. Generate and present regular KPI reports to senior management, identifying trends, challenges, and actions.

Sales Process & Systems Oversight:



Ensure CRM and ERP systems are up to date and used effectively across the team. Drive improvements in internal processes to improve speed, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Monitor sales order processing, backlog, and delivery status in coordination with logistics and production.

Product & Industry Knowledge:



Build strong technical knowledge of lift components and electrical systems. Stay informed on new products, technical updates, and regulatory requirements affecting our offering. Support the onboarding of new team members with technical and product training.

Requirements:



Proven experience as a

Sales Office Manager

,

Internal Sales Leader

, or similar role within a technical or manufacturing environment. Experience with

lift components

,

electrical systems

, or related B2B technical industries. Strong people management and leadership capabilities. Proficient with CRM/ERP systems and confident in data reporting and KPI analysis. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail, especially in reviewing quotations and customer documentation

Desirable:



Background in the

lift industry

or

vertical transportation

sector. Technical qualification in electrical engineering or similar. Familiarity with quotation tracking systems and lead management tools.

Salary:



40,000 to 50,000 depending on experience
