Key Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one and small group support for students with SEND, including autism, ADHD, sensory impairments, or learning difficulties, in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and EHC Plans. Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment to promote student confidence and well-being. Assist with differentiated learning activities, ensuring accessibility for all students. Support students' social and emotional development through positive behavior management and tailored interventions. Contribute to school life by preparing resources and participating in inclusive school activities and events.
What We're Looking For

Qualifications

: A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent SEND-specific training, is desirable but not essential.

Experience

: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or SEND support role is highly valued. Experience with autism, ADHD, or other SEND conditions is a plus.

Skills

: Strong communication, patience, and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.

Attributes

: Compassionate, adaptable, and dedicated to supporting the diverse needs of children with SEND.

Knowledge

: Familiarity with SEND strategies, such as PECS, Makaton, or behavior management techniques, is advantageous but not mandatory.
